When I first went to South Korea for cosmetic procedures, my biggest concern was the unfamiliarity with the local environment – how could I make appointments if I didn’t speak Korean? How would I get to the clinics? And would I be overcharged? This handy guide summarizes all the information I gathered after personally visiting the Cellon Dermatology clinic in Cheongdam: from how to take the subway, the steps for making appointments in Chinese, the price ranges for various treatments, to how to take care of my skin after the procedures. After reading this guide, you’ll be ready to go straight away.

What is the background of Cellon Dermatology in Cheongdam? Why do even local residents in South Korea recommend it?

👑

Cheongdam Cellon Dermatology is not an ordinary beauty salon or chain medical aesthetics clinic. It is an “high-end regenerative medical institution” officially recognized by South Korea’s Ministry of Health and Welfare, and it is also the first clinic in South Korea to establish a stem cell laboratory within its Dermatology department. Since its establishment in 2008, it has been operating for nearly 20 years. Its success in Cheongdam-dong, a key area for medical aesthetics services, is not due to advertising but rather its genuine technical expertise.

The practice is headed by Dr. Seung-hoon Kang, who specializes in dermatological regenerative medicine and emphasizes a personalized treatment approach that involves “testing first, then prescribing treatment.” The most notable feature of this clinic is its own stem cell laboratory, which enables it to offer cellular anti-aging treatments not available at general Dermatology clinics. Thanks to this, Cellon has gained an excellent reputation among older women in South Korea, and it maintains high ratings on both Google and Naver.

How to get there? Address of Cheongdam Cellon Dermatology + the easiest way to get there using the subway

🧳

Cellon Dermatology in Cheongdam is located at 3F, No. 37, 152 Seoryeong-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (90-19 Cheongdam-dong). The most convenient way to get there is by subway:

  1. Take the subway Line 7 and get off at Cheongdam Station.
  2. Exit at Exit 8 and walk straight for about 300 meters.
  3. Turn right at the first major intersection (152 Xueling Road).
  4. Walk about 200 meters forward, and you’ll find it on the third floor of the building on your right.
  5. The entire journey takes about 8 minutes on foot, and the route is simple enough to avoid getting lost.

If you start at Incheon Airport, you can take bus 6009 and get off at “Cheongdam Station” – the journey takes approximately 70–80 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the AREX airport express to Seoul Station and then transfer to the subway Line 7, which takes about the same amount of time but is cheaper.

A little tip: Cellon’s sign is not particularly noticeable; it is located on the 3rd floor of a commercial office building. Just look for the Korean sign “셀온피부과” downstairs. There are no conspicuous cosmetic surgery advertisements on the first floor, so the brand adopts a low-key yet high-end approach. It is recommended to spend an extra 5 minutes looking for the entrance when visiting for the first time.

How to make an appointment? A comprehensive guide to the Chinese reservation process at Cheongdam Cellon Dermatology

📱

The question that everyone cares most about: Can I go there if I don’t speak Korean? The answer is yes! Cellon offers Chinese-speaking consultation services, and the reservation process is also very simple. You can choose from any of the following three methods:

  1. Method 1: Online reservation through BeautsGO – Highly recommended! Use the Chinese interface to select “Saiwen Cellon Dermatology”, choose the desired date and time slot, fill in your basic information, and submit the request. A customer service representative will confirm your reservation within 24 hours.
  2. Method 2: Make an appointment via WeChat – Add Hannah972 on WeChat, and our Chinese customer service will help you arrange the appointment directly. You can also consult about the procedures you are interested in, confirm the prices, and check available schedules. This option is particularly suitable for newcomers who are going to South Korea for the first time.
  3. Method 3: Telephone reservation – The official clinic phone number can be found through BeautsGO, but it is recommended to use the first two methods, as communication via telephone requires Korean language.

Information required for making a reservation: Name (the English name on your passport), desired date and time slot, the treatment you would like to undergo, as well as any history of allergies or special medical conditions. Since Cellon is a high-end clinic, it only accepts a limited number of clients per day. It is recommended to make a reservation at least 1-2 weeks in advance; for peak periods (weekends, during holidays), it is best to book one month in advance.

There is also one very considerate detail: there is no need to pay a deposit in advance when making an appointment, which is different from the practice at most medical beauty clinics in South Korea. If your travel plans change, you can cancel the appointment one day in advance without incurring any fees. This feature is particularly convenient for Taiwanese travelers who are traveling on their own.

💰

Many people assume that “high-end clinics in Cheongdam-dong” must be extremely expensive. In fact, considering Cellon’s equipment and technical standards, its pricing is quite cost-effective. Below are the most popular treatments and their approximate costs:

  • Phenix Radio Thermage FLX: 600 treatments starting from ¥1.2 million | 900 treatments starting from ¥1.5 million | 1,200 treatments starting from ¥2 million (approximately NT$27,000–$45,000). In Taiwan, the cost for 900 treatments usually ranges from NT$80,000 to NT$120,000; therefore, going to South Korea for these treatments, including airfare and hotel expenses, is still more cost-effective.
  • HIFU Ultherapy Prime: 300 treatments starting from ¥800,000 | 500 treatments starting from ¥1.2 million | 800 treatments starting from ¥1.8 million (approximately NT$18,000 – $40,000). Cellon uses the latest Prime model, which offers more precise results than traditional Ultherapy.
  • Hydrofiller injections/Rejuran: Basic hydrofiller treatment starts from ¥150,000 (approximately $3,400); Rejuran Mini Black Bottle treatment starts from ¥350,000 (approximately $7,900); Full-face Rejuran treatment starts from ¥700,000 (approximately $15,800).
  • Pico laser treatment: For the entire face, the price starts from ₩200,000 (approximately NT$4,500); for targeted areas, it starts from ₩100,000. The latest Picoway model is used, resulting in significant improvements in pigmentation issues.
  • CO2 Fractional Laser Treatment: For the entire face, the price starts from ₩250,000 (approximately NT$5,600); for targeted areas, it starts from ₩150,000. This treatment is effective for treating acne scars and enlarged Pores, and the recovery period after the procedure is approximately 5 to 7 days.
  • IPL pulsed light: For the entire face, starting from ₩50,000 (approximately $1,100). Suitable for daily use to enhance skin tone, with no recovery period required.
  • Mesenchymal stem cell Asce+ Exosomes therapy: The cost starts from ₩800,000 per session (approximately $18,000). Exclusive to Cellon, this treatment promotes collagen regeneration at the cellular level and is considered a high-end treatment option available in the market.
  • Botulinum toxin (Korean style): Forehead – starting from ₩100,000; Whole face – starting from ₩250,000 (approximately NT$2,200 – $5,600). This is about 40–50% cheaper than the prices in Taiwan.

It is worth mentioning that Cellon does not charge foreigners an additional fee; the prices for South Koreans and foreigners are the same, which is quite rare among high-end clinics in Cheongdam-dong. Many clinics quietly add a 20-30% surcharge as soon as they learn that the customer is a foreigner, but at Cellon, you don’t have to worry about this issue at all.

Detailed record of the in-person consultation experience: The actual process of visiting Cheongdam Saewon Cellon Dermatology

🏥

I actually went through the consultation process at Cellon myself. From entering the place to leaving, it took approximately 90 minutes, and throughout the whole process, I didn’t feel any pressure to rush. The steps are as follows:

  1. Fill out the consultation form (5 minutes): Upon entry, the staff at the counter will provide you with a bilingual consultation form in both Chinese and Korean. Please check the areas you would like to improve (such as sagging skin, wrinkles, spots, or acne scars), indicate any history of allergies, and list any previous medical beauty treatments you have undergone.
  2. Skin analysis (15 minutes): This is what sets Cellon apart from other services. The therapist will use specialized equipment to measure the skin type, moisture content, Collagen density, and the depth of pigmentation deposits. The results are displayed directly on the screen, making them easy to understand at a glance.
  3. In-person consultation with a doctor (20 minutes): Director Jiang (or the on-duty specialist) will analyze your skin issues based on the test results and recommend the most suitable treatment plan, without attempting to push expensive treatments on you. My friend went there last time, and the director even advised her, “You don’t need to use the maximum number of treatments; 600 sessions are enough,” which was really practical and helpful.
  4. Applying anesthetic + waiting (20–30 minutes): Once you’ve decided on what to have done, the technician will apply the anesthetic for you. Cellon uses medical-grade anesthetic, so it doesn’t cause any stinging sensations. During the waiting period, you can use your phone or take a short nap.
  5. The treatment itself (lasting 30–60 minutes, depending on the specific procedure) is performed by a doctor in person, rather than following a robotic, assembly-line approach where a nurse carries out most of the work while the doctor merely checks it off. Throughout the process, the doctor will constantly pay attention to your comfort and adjust the intensity as needed.
  6. Postoperative Care + Health Education (10 minutes): After the procedure, the caregiver will apply ice packs and repair cream to your skin, and provide detailed instructions on what to pay attention to in the coming days. They will also give you a Chinese-language postoperative health education guide.

Post-treatment precautions: It’s essential to pay close attention to the care requirements after completing the treatment.

⚠️

After completing the treatment at Cellon, the nurse will provide a detailed post-treatment care guide. Here are the most important points that directly affect the effectiveness of the results:

  1. Do not wash your face within 24 hours after the procedure, especially if you have undergone laser treatments or injections. This will allow the minor wounds on the skin’s surface to heal properly. The next day, you can gently wipe your face with warm water; do not rub it vigorously.
  2. Avoid high-temperature environments for one week: this includes saunas, steam baths, hot spring treatments, and intense physical exercise. After undergoing the Phoenix radio wave or ultrasound treatment, the heat remains beneath the skin, and exposure to high temperatures can affect the results of the treatment.
  3. Make sure to use sunscreen with an SPF of 50+: After the procedure, your skin becomes particularly sensitive to ultraviolet rays, so not using sunscreen would be completely ineffective. Cellon will provide you with a pack of special repair cream and a sample pack of sunscreen for use after the treatment. It is recommended that you also bring your own hat or umbrella.
  4. Avoid drinking alcohol and eating spicy foods for one week: Alcohol and spicy foods can accelerate blood circulation, which may cause the bruising at the injection site to worsen or the swelling to persist.
  5. Do not touch your face or squeeze pimples with your hands: During the first week after the procedure, your skin is in a recovery phase, and the bacteria on your hands could cause infections. Wait until your nurse advises you that it is safe to use any skincare products before applying them.
  6. Drink plenty of water and maintain a regular schedule: This is the simplest advice, yet also the one most easily overlooked. The production of Collagen requires sufficient water intake and adequate sleep; staying up all night will significantly reduce the effectiveness of these factors.

People who are suitable/unsuitable for visiting Cheongdam’s Cellon Dermatology clinic

👭

Suitable for:

  • A beginner going to South Korea for medical aesthetics treatment for the first time and hoping to receive services in Chinese
  • You want to experience high-end equipment such as the latest models like Phoenix Radio FLX and Ultherapy Prime.
  • Adults who are interested in cell-level anti-aging and regenerative medicine
  • Those who dislike the assembly-line style of clinics and prefer one-on-one consultations with doctors
  • Consumers with a medium to high budget who prioritize quality over the lowest price.
  • For independent travelers, it’s possible to schedule half a day to a whole day for medical beauty treatments during their journey.

Not suitable for:

  • Those who are focused on getting the lowest prices and are extremely sensitive to budget constraints (since Cellon targets the mid-to-high-end market, it is not suitable for those looking for the cheapest options).
  • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding (medical beauty treatments are not recommended for them)
  • Those with a tendency to develop keloid scars or a severe history of allergies should consult a doctor for an assessment.
  • If time is extremely tight and it’s not possible to allocate at least 2 hours (Cellon doesn’t rush and doesn’t pursue a quick-fix approach), then…
  • I plan to go on Sunday (Cellon is closed on Sundays; appointments are available only from Monday to Saturday).

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: If I don’t know any Korean at all, can I still go to Cellon?

A: Definitely! Cellon offers Chinese-language consultation services, covering everything from form filling and in-person consultations to post-treatment education. The easiest way to schedule an appointment is by contacting us via WeChat at Hannah972 or through BeautsGO, and you can communicate directly with our Chinese-speaking staff. Even if you visit the clinic on the same day, you don’t have to worry about language barriers.

Q: Are the prices of Cellon inclusive of taxes? Is it possible to get a tax refund?

A: All prices listed for Cellon include taxes. Since medical aesthetics treatments are considered medical services in South Korea, tax refunds are not available (this policy applies to all Dermatology clinics since the abolition of medical tax refunds in 2026). However, Cellon’s prices are already cheaper than those in Taiwan, so it remains a worthwhile option even without the tax refund option. Payments can be made in cash (South Korean won) or by credit card.

Q: How long does it take for the effects of Fenghuang radio waves or HIFU to become visible? And how long do these effects last?

A: Effects usually begin to be noticeable 2–3 weeks after the treatment, with the optimal results appearing in the 2nd–3rd month. The effects of Fenghuang radiofrequency treatment last for 1–2 years, while those of HIFU last for approximately 1–1.5 years, depending on individual physical conditions and lifestyle habits. Cellon recommends undergoing a maintenance treatment once a year to maintain the best results.

Q: What are the advantages of Cellon compared to other Dermatology clinics in Cheongdam-dong?

A: The biggest difference lies in the approach of stem cell laboratories and the process of conducting tests before starting treatment. In general clinics, it’s usually “you come in, tell us what you want to do, and we’ll help you with it”; whereas at Cellon, they first assess your skin condition, identify the real issues, and then tailor a personalized treatment plan for you. Additionally, they don’t charge extra fees for foreign patients, and all consultations are conducted by in-house doctors rather than subcontracted services. These details truly make the overall experience much better.

Q: Will it be difficult to find transportation? Are there any places nearby that I can visit?

A: It only takes 8 minutes to walk from Exit 8 of Cheongdam Station; the route is very straightforward. After the medical treatment, you can either walk to Apgujeong Rodaeo for shopping (about 15 minutes) or take the subway for 2 stops to Gangnam Station, where you can find the COEX Mall as well as numerous cafes and restaurants. This makes it an ideal half-day itinerary: “medical treatment in the morning + shopping in Gangnam in the afternoon”.
